What is Guidify?
An online platform for people to share & listen to audio travel guides.

No! It's also capable of navigating people from 1 place to another.
So it's able to navigate a user from one location to another
and allow them to listen to travel guides?

But why an audio travel guide? Why not a text travel guide?
Based on our experience during our travels, we tend to want to enjoy the locations that we're currently
visiting and being immersed in the experience. Looking at Monalisa while having to read a text does
not really make us feel fully immersed

This AI will help us determine whether an uploaded audio file by a user is a real travel guide or not.
Navigation Chatbot
This AI will accompany users during their navigations! Users will be able to talk to the Chatbot and ask things like directions!

Problem
There are some users that may want to / without being aware, upload an audio file that is either a negative information (e.g., harassment, etc) or a positive information but not a travel guide.
Scalable Solution
Instead of hiring thousands of administrators to check these audio files, we create an AI model that would filter these files automatically, without the administrator having to check themselves. We used GPT-2 as the base model that we fine-tuned on.

Tourism Ireland
We sent them a proposal requesting for funding. Unfortunately, Tourism Ireland's remit covers international promotion of the island of Ireland overseas only. This means that it does not cover funds for new technology and innovation initiatives. However, they directed us to other parties that may be able to help us, e.g., Smart Dublin & Failte Ireland. Our journey starts again
ESN Society DkIT
ESN DkIT is an Erasmus society hosted at DkIT. They are the go-to society for Erasmus students from all around Europe who chose to study at DkIT. ESN organizes trips for students. We think that our application might prove useful to them. We're in the process of contacting them to talk about collaboration opportunities.
